Finpilot raises $10M Series A to build the operating system for institutional capital
Led by Lobby Capital, with Madrona.

Today we’re announcing our $10M Series A, led by Lobby Capital with participation from Madrona.
Finpilot is the AI-native operating system for institutional capital. We build software for the teams that manage large, long-term pools of money, with AI agents that do much of the work alongside them.
We believe institutional capital is best served by human intelligence where it counts, and AI agents everywhere else.
How AI is changing work
In the past two years, AI has changed how a lot of work gets done, though unevenly. In software, the change is already obvious: many engineers now describe what they want, let AI agents write the code, and spend their time deciding what to build and reviewing the results. Other fields have barely started. We think finance is where the change will matter most, for the organizations willing to rethink how they work.
Why finance
Universities, public pensions, foundations, hospital systems and families each have teams that manage billions of dollars, invested for the long term. These teams generate the capital behind their organization’s mission, and what it pays for is often lifesaving or life-changing: medical research, health care and people’s retirements. The work is enormously consequential, and yet it has changed very little in decades.
Much of their time still goes to gathering information rather than using it. Their data is spread across several older systems that don’t connect, and much of it arrives as PDF reports by email. Someone has to read those reports, pull out the numbers, check them against everything else and enter them in the right place, every month and every quarter. All of it has to be right, because these numbers go in front of boards and committees making decisions that affect the people that money serves.
AI agents have recently become very good at this kind of work, as long as they have the right foundation to work from.
What we build
With Finpilot, everything an institution knows lives in one place, and AI agents do the work on top of it, so the team can spend its time on decisions.
It has three layers. The first is a single, accurate record of everything the organization owns and every document it holds, kept current as new information arrives. The second is an understanding of how all of it connects, so the system knows what each number means and where it came from. The third is a set of agents that do the work: reading reports as they arrive, updating the numbers, preparing the analysis and reports people need, and keeping track of what has changed. When something needs a person’s judgment, the agents bring it to them, and every number can be traced back to its source.
The software takes the shape of each person using it. The head of an investment team and someone in operations care about different things. In Finpilot, each of them can describe what they want to see, and the system builds it for them on live data and keeps it up to date. Changes that used to take a software vendor months now take a conversation.
The organization learns. When someone teaches an AI tool how their team likes something done, that knowledge usually stays in their own chat history. In Finpilot it becomes part of the system, so the whole team benefits, and it improves the longer the organization uses it.
Institutions including Seattle Children’s, Children’s Health of Dallas, Hackensack Meridian Health, TIFF, Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Wyoming Retirement System use Finpilot today.
Join us
We’re a small team with deep experience in finance and technology. Joining Finpilot means helping build a new way of working, where AI agents take on more of the work and people focus on what needs their judgment. We’re working that out for our clients and for ourselves, and everyone who joins helps shape what it looks like.
It’s an early point for Finpilot and for this industry. Institutions are choosing the software they’ll rely on for years, and many of our clients are shaping Finpilot with us. What you work on this year will become part of how some of the most respected institutions in the country do their work.
The problems are hard. We’re building a system that understands complex financial information accurately, and agents that can be trusted with work where every number has to be right. We work closely with our clients, and what we build goes straight into their daily work.
If you want to help bring AI to work that matters this much, we’d like to hear from you. We’re hiring for:
- Marketing Lead
- Product Manager
- Software Engineering
- AI Solutions Specialist, Client Success
- Account Executive
- Business Development Representative
- Business Operations Associate
Or write to careers@finpilot.ai.
Thank you
To our clients, for building this with us. To Lobby for leading this round, and to Madrona for backing us from the start. And to our team, who built all of this.
